The Poitevin Lavigne Winery, united since 1900 by the marriage of Stélina Lafugie and Joseph Lavigne, has experienced more than a century of development and innovation in winemaking. As early as 1917, they distinguished themselves by bottling their first cuvées, which were avant-garde at the time. Over generations, the family has expanded and improved their estates through strategic land purchases and adopting new AOCs, while simultaneously modernizing their winemaking and harvesting techniques, notably by installing thermoregulation systems and purchasing high-precision harvesting machines. The company also diversified its activities by founding PLVins Sélection in 2011, thus expanding its distribution. The continuous efforts in innovation, including the launch of The Brothers series and the proactive response to the challenges of the Covid crisis, underline their commitment to quality and sustainability.

Reusable Bottles with a Unique Design

For the first time, Poitevin Winery innovates with personalized wine bottles. Adopting an ecological and sustainable approach, these bottles are designed for multiple uses and benefit from high-quality screen printing technology. This personalization technique is ideal for today’s times, as it allows the bottles to retain their unique design even after several washes. Thus, the traditional use of labels and collars around the bottle becomes unnecessary. The choice of three soothing and elegant colors highlights the wine’s excellence, making each bottle a work of art that stands out distinctly from others.

The Renaissance of the multiway system of Wine Bottles

In our current era, where sustainability and ecology play a dominant role, choosing reusable and environmentally friendly packaging for our products becomes essential. Glass is recognized as one of the best packaging materials available: fully recyclable and capable of being washed and reused 30 to 50 times without losing quality or purity.

Since 1987, Univerre positions itself as a key player in this environmentally conscious approach by washing bottles in Sierre. Univerre passionately commits to promoting sustainability, illustrating the increasing importance of reusing packaging across all business sectors. This return to a multiway system for wine bottles is not only a tribute to traditional methods but also a pragmatic and ecological response to the contemporary challenges of our consumption.
