For generations, the Mounir family has been driven by a pioneering spirit. In 2007, the third generation took over the reins of the company, committed to preserving the heritage and reputation of “VINS MOUNIR” as a symbol of quality and proximity to customers. Celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2022, the family business can look back on many successes, such as the 1972 world championship title for their ‘Perle du Rhodan’ Pinot Noir, the introduction of the Grand Cru concept in the 1980s, and more recently, the success of biodynamic viticulture.

Diversitas, a committed bottle: the fusion of art and nature

In their quest for excellence embodied by the Diversitas line, the winery has chosen screen printing as an artistic expression. As we hold the bottle, the rough texture of the silkscreen draws our attention to its contours. Sublime motifs recall the famous dry stone walls of the Valais, but their meaning remains mysterious.

So we asked Olivier Mounir, owner of the Cave du Rhodan: “The dry stone walls of the Valais, which stretch over a total length of 3,000 kilometres, are not only witnesses to a rich cultural heritage, but also essential refuges for biodiversity. By choosing to incorporate these iconic walls into our design, we celebrate not only their natural beauty, but also their importance as symbols of our region’s diversity and resilience. Diversitas is not just about preserving our natural heritage; it also embodies the diversity of grape varieties that thrive in the varied terroirs of the Valais, as well as the diversity of passionate winegrowers who shape our winegrowing landscape with their unique skills.”
