Design possibilities for your own bottle shape

The creation of your own bottle shape requires many details. This includes not only the definition of the shape but also the thickness of the glass and especially the bottleneck. Further, it is also necessary to define which bottle base or bottle foot your custom bottle shape must have.
Choosing the right bottle base is an important aspect because it must be designed so that the bottle is stable. The shape and weight of the bottle base must provide sufficient stability. The bottom of the bottle also serves to ensure that the bottle is robust. This is because it helps to ensure that the glass can withstand the pressure of the liquid inside the bottle. The bottom of a bottle must also be resistant to bumps and falls.

The types of bottle bottoms:

There are many aspects that are important when designing your own bottle shape. The first is the bottle bottoms. Here we distinguish between the following bottle bottoms:

These are different bottoms of a bottle that can be chosen by the customer
  • Flat bottom: A flat bottom is simple and inexpensive to manufacture. It provides stability and a uniform bearing surface.
  • Convex bottom: A convex bottom curves outward and adds aesthetics to the bottle. It can also improve stability.
  • Concave bottom: A concave bottom curves inward. It is often used with bottles that are to stand on a bottle holder or rack.
  • Pedestal: A pedestal is an extended base that improves the stability of the bottle. It can be in the form of a ring or a wider base.
  • Special shapes: For special bottles, the base may have other shapes related to the design of the bottle. For example, round, square or irregular shapes can be chosen.

The choice of bottle base ultimately depends on the specific requirements, intended use and design of the bottle.

The embossing or stamping in the creation of bottles

In addition, we also offer special effects such as embossing. Embossing refers to a finishing technique in which a specific pattern, logo, lettering or design is imprinted on the surface of the bottle. This creates a raised or relief effect that highlights the design. Embossing can make a bottle more attractive and give it a custom look. There is positive embossing or negative embossing.

Positive embossing: in positive embossing, the design is embossed on the bottle surface in an elevated manner. This means that the design, logo or text protrudes from the surface of the bottle. When you run your finger over the embossing, you can feel the raised texture. Positive embossing creates a relief-like effect.

Negative Embossing: In negative embossing, the design is embossed deeper into the bottle surface. This means that the design, logo or text is indented and deeper than the surrounding bottle surface. When you run your finger over the embossing, you can feel a recessed depression. Negative embossing creates a kind of engraving effect.
